Bigger Than Basketball is 501c3 non-profit organization in Birmingham, AL dedicated to leveraging the power of sports to teach essential life skills and provide educational development to youth and young adults.
Founded by former athletes Demetrius and Britney Coates, our mission is to go beyond the game, instilling values of resilience, teamwork, and leadership that transcend the playing field.
Through our innovative programs, our mission to equip young athletes and the youth with the tools they need to succeed in life, fostering personal growth, academic excellence, and a lifelong passion for learning.
At Bigger Than Basketball, we believe that every moment on the court is an opportunity for education, empowerment, and inspiration."
We have successfully mentored over 100 young athletes and youth through our programs, camps and athletic programs.
